The Role

This person will be a member of Genmab's Artificial Intelligence Lab, which we plan to open in San Franscisco, California. We have a hybrid model and remote work can be expected at the beginning, while we are establishing the satellite location but eventually will need to either relocate or be local to San Fransisco to have a weekly onsite presence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leverage your expertise to bring new analytics and use cases to the table. With a strong interest in using AI to deeply explore biology.
  • Lead the development and application of innovative AI technologies, with a focus on Large Language Models, agents, RAG, fine-tuning, graph analytics, and NLP.
  • Contribute to Genmab's AI initiatives, particularly in the context of research and development.
  • Develop and operationalize Large Language Models (LLMs) at scale.
  • Engage in the development and management of AI agents, focusing on orchestrating complex LLM frameworks.
  • Keep abreast of emerging AI roles and technologies, adapting to evolving industry needs.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary projects, potentially involving cybersecurity and software development.
  • Partner with data engineering and product engineering when needed to scale work.

Requirements

  • MS or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Math or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in AI, with expertise in the required technological areas.
  • Proficiency in Python and familiarity with AI and machine learning libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenCV.
  • Strong background in machine learning principles and AI algorithms.
  • Experience in deploying AI models to solve science problems.
  • Computer vision knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong research, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Leadership abilities with excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of graph data structures and algorithms e.g. nosql or document storage.
  • Familiarity with the latest AI tools and methodologies, including adaptive learning and AI model scalability.

For US based candidates, the proposed salary band for this position is as follows:

$142,500.00---$237,500.00

The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses.
