SUMMARY:
This position leads the sales planning and analytics functions for all Lundbeck US sales forces. This includes geographic alignment, call planning, metric design and development, national reporting and ad hoc analysis for the entire portfolio of Lundbeck products intended to help uncover trends and opportunities for the business. This position will work as an integral member of both the sales management and Advanced Analytics and Omnichannel Customer Experience teams, providing valuable support and insights. This position will report directly to the Senior Director of Sales Force Effectiveness and will work closely with other members of the Commercial organization including collaboration with Lundbeck Alliance Partners.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Leads the design, and coordinates the development, of Lundbeck's call planning system
  • Collaborate with Alliance partners and internal Insights teams (Neuro/Psych) on business requirements and strategy for targeting / call planning
  • Develop the call planning deployment strategy in partnership with data operations, Insights teams, and sales leadership to facilitate implementation
  • Liaise across brand teams in balancing the effort needs of each brand in the context of a portfolio selling approach
  • Partner with the Marketing and Sales Leadership in sales force structure design.
  • Leads the implementation of sales force structure strategy and new geographical alignments as well as maintenance of trimesterly alignment changes
  • Provide insights and recommendations to sales leadership in order to optimize geographic deployment of our sales representatives
  • Leads the design and development of appropriate sales force metrics that provide a solid understanding for sales force performance
  • Responsible for leading and delivering an overall performance assessment including; reporting on key product performance and field execution metrics. Audience is both internal sales and marketing leadership, field sales, as well as Alliance Partners.
  • Leads ad hoc sales force analyses to better understand performance trends at local levels; provide recommendations on how to improve performance based on data analysis
  • Leads the other members of the Sales Planning and Execution team. Team consists of both internal as well as external (contractor and/or vendor) members.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and SKILLS:
  • Accredited Bachelor's Degree
  • 8+ years combination of pharmaceutical and analytics experience OR accredited Master's degree with 4+ years combination of pharmaceutical and analytics experience
  • Professional experience managing teams and/or vendors
  • Experience with Pharmaceutical data (i.e. Prescriber and Account Level Rx, Sales and Profile information) and understanding of how to work with large datasets
  • Ability to lead, influence and motivate others.
  • Strong quantitative and analytic skills
  • Strong verbal and communications skill
  • Strong consultation and presentation skills.
PREFERREDEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and SKILLS:
  • 5+ years in pharmaceutical industry with a Focus on sales/marketing analytics.
  • 5+ years in sales/marketing analytic roles.
  • 3+ years in call planning/targeting and alignment
  • Masters Degree / MBA
TRAVEL:
  • Willingness/Ability to travel up to 20% domestically. International travel may be required.
