Genmab is looking for a top-tier Finance Business Partner for our R&D Finance Team. You will work closely with the business to provide real-time financial support and analysis and be a trusted business partner, supporting the Research & Development Organization and one of our key development programs. The role will be responsible for assisting with the generation of business insights and analysis along with facilitating the budgeting and forecasting processes. Furthermore, you will collaborate with colleagues across the organization with the overall goal of developing new and innovative medicines for patients.

Genmab is looking for a senior profile with a proven track-record within FP&A, preferably in pharma or biotech, a distinct change agent with high ambitions. Obviously, the Finance Business Partner will ensure effective and accurate support to Genmab's global portfolio of R&D projects, thus, international experience is a prerequisite.

You will have the opportunity to act as a true business partner for one of our key projects and have a broad interface with the entire organization, including various LOB's, Executive Management etc. The Finance Business Partner will drive a broad range of responsibilities and add significant value to the overall business strategy; thus, the area has high management attention and great impact. The incumbent will report directly to the Team Lead for R&D Project Partnering.

This person will be based out of Princeton, NJ and will be onsite 60% of the time.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Global Compound Development Leads, Development Project Managers an LOB's to prepare annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, monthly reporting and ad-hoc analysis/reporting, and assist Compound Development Teams through governance.
  • Collaborate and build relationships with colleagues globally across the Genmab Group assisting stakeholders in various departments with financial management and controlling of project costs as well as building relationship with key collaboration partners outside of Genmab
  • Financial management and controlling of R&D projects including preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports and analysis
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of key business drivers of the R&D projects of the company to take the Finance Project Lead role for one or more key projects.
  • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve financial procedures leveraging technology including Adaptive Insights, SAP and Workday
  • Other responsibilities and projects assigned by the Team Lead or Head of R&D FP&A
  • Project Management; e.g. alignment of policies, build stellar templates, facilitate training and continuously develop and ensure best-practice
  • Prepare analysis, proposals, and management presentations
  • Build and maintain close relationship with internal stakeholders - at all levels of the organization - throughout the business

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related area
  • Preferred master's degree in auditing, finance or economics with impeccable results from a recognized university
  • 10 years of experience from a similar role in an internationally well-reputed company, preferably within the healthcare industry
  • Impeccable FP&A toolbox with exposure to all before mentioned responsibilities from a pharma or biotech company enabling you to understand R&D project etc.
  • Experience with transformations and change management; driving projects and processes across a matrix organization; having a strong overview as well as strategic perspective without losing sight of relevant details
  • Demonstrated ability to produce significant work volume with impeccable quality and within a tight deadline

For US based candidates, the proposed salary band for this position is as follows:

$138,750.00---$231,250.00

The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses.
