Taiho Oncology, being a lean enterprise, presents an opportunity to be exposed to multiple facets of Commercial Operations at a pharmaceutical company in a compressed period of time. The Senior Manager, Commercial Supply Chain Operations, will be an integral Commercial Team member with high visibility. The Senior Manager will work closely with Market Research, Commercial FP&A, Business Operations and TOI Finance team to incorporate various data sources and analytical tools to inform and facilitate supply related decisions for US, Canada, EU, UK and CH markets.

Position Summary:

This position will have primary responsibility for the management of Taiho's US Commercial supply chain which may expand responsibility as TOI's marketed product portfolio grows. The position will work cross-functionally, cross-company and with external vendors to administer the supply chain. The position will also provide support to Taiho Canada (TCAN), Taiho Oncology Europe (TOE), Taiho Pharma Netherlands B.V. (TPN) and Taiho Pharma Europe Limited (UK - TPEL).

Performance Objectives:
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing, packaging and inventory forecasts for all Taiho Products working with Taiho Pharmaceutical Company (TPC), Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co, Japan (OPCJ), TOI Commercial team, TOI Clinical Supplies team and external supply chain partners to ensure supply strategies that result in timely shipment and availability of all products in the US, Canadian, and European markets.
  • Liaise with specialty distributors and other parts of trade to ensure timely, cost-effective distribution of Taiho products.
  • Work in a collaborative manner with Market Access team, Sales, Commercial FP&A and other TOI departments to ensure customer strategies are executed with each class of trade.
  • Help ensure compliance with governmental laws, regulations and guidance's related to distribution (e.g., Serialization) and class of trade for all products in assigned geographies (TOI, TCAN, TOE, TPN and TPEL).
  • Manage communications to trade in US market for all products.
  • Manage external service providers including contract manufacturing / packaging organizations, third party logistics partners and component suppliers, etc. for all products.
  • Provide reports on a weekly basis regarding production plans, packaging plans, channel inventory and other reports as may be needed.
  • Assist TOI and TOE team members with the results reporting process to TPC and Otsuka Holdings as required.
  • Manage the creation of primary and secondary packaging, work with TOI regulatory and packing vendors to ensure packaging meets regulatory and manufacturing requirements for all products in assigned geographies (TOI, TCAN, TOE, TPN and TPEL). .

Education/Certification Requirements:
  • BS/BA or equivalent in supply chain, business, math, finance or science or equivalent experience.
  • Master's degree would be preferred but not required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience preferred.
  • 3-5 years of direct experience with supply chains including demand and production forecasting, vendor management and trade relations.
  • Pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience managing distribution in the EU preferred.
  • Detail and quality oriented.
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills.
  • Ability to learn, integrate complex information, and communicate key insights in clear, concise fashion to team members.
  • Ability to understand and implement prioritization of deliverables as well as recognize and highlight conflicts in priorities.
  • A positive attitude, flexibility and a proactive thought process.
  • Team player who can work in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent Excel, Power Point, Word, and Project Management software skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret scientific and technical information and data.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $147,050 - $173,000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
