We have a position in Monmouth Junction, NJ for an Associate, EHS&S

The Associate, EHS&S provides operational support to EHS&S department and its mission of providing a safe, healthy and secure work environment for employees and ensuring continual compliance with permitting, monitoring, record keeping and training requirements specified by regulatory agencies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborating closely with and under direct supervision of, appropriate EHS&S personnel, assists with administration of all operational and administrative aspects of EHS&S Compliance Programs including, but not limited to: maintenance and filling of records and documents, tracking and maintaining all safety and environmental training activities for facility personnel via an excel database, tracking and maintaining security related databases (i.e., employee vehicles, locker assignments, etc.)

• Monitors and maintains Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) inventory; Liaises with appropriate vendors on ordering of stock and supplies

• Maintains and coordinates appropriate employee safety programs and initiatives including, but not limited to: Safety Shoe Program, Rx Safety Glasses Program, Hearing Conservation Program, Respiratory Protection Program, Health and Safety Committees, etc.

• Maintains facility inventory lists and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) databases for all chemicals

• Interacts with all departments and external vendors to facilitate and ensure compliance with all EHS requirements to assist in creating and sustaining a safe and compliant work environment; Communicates with managers any issues or concerns which may negatively affect company health, safety and security

• Drafts training materials (i.e., slide decks, quizzes, policies, etc.) for OSHA and Security compliance

• Participates in New Hire Safety and Security orientations, on-boarding process and other compliance training, as needed

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent and minimum 1 year experience in an administrative, coordinator or customer service related function OR minimum 1 year experience in an EHS OR Safety/Security related role in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or comparable manufacturing industry

• Ability to quickly learn and understand complex technical information

• Excellent data entry skills

• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret documents (i.e., safety and environmental policies

and procedure manuals, etc.)

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
