Position Summary The Director of Project Management will lead a team of project management professionals ensure projects are executed effectively and efficiently assuring on time delivery and within budget.
The ideal candidate will have the necessary leadership skills, business acumen and strategic knowledge to challenge the status quo and execute overall project delivery processes and management of projects from conception through completion in accordance with program objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for day-to-day management and execution of multiple capital, maintenance, or other projects and/or programs through the project lifecycle
- Provide strategic direction, guidance, mentorship, and support to project managers and teams, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to quality standards
- Establish pathways for escalation of program and project issues within the organization to provide the right level of awareness and decision-making
- Establish project management framework, tools, and systems to enable standardized project management practices across the organization
- Oversee the development of project tracking and KPI dashboards and tools to support project managers and site KPIs, including scope, budget, and to promote project transparency
- Prepare and deliver reports and presentations to executive leadership and other stakeholders
Experience Requirements
- Ten (10) years managing large complex projects and/or program by applying PM principles, methods, techniques, and tools
- High-level understanding of Pharma or life sciences manufacturing processes, cGMP practices, regulatory health authority CMC requirements
- Experience with federal subsidy programs and government regulations
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- A highly motivated self-starter, capable of hitting the ground running and excelling in a high growth, fast-paced and expanding business environment
- In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and software
- Develops and maintains excellent customer satisfaction levels with internal and external audiences
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as Business Administration, Engineering, or Project Management)
- PMP certification preferred
