Description
The Director of Maintenance is charged with overseeing the planning and scheduling, preventive and corrective maintenance activities, and special projects of multi-site pharmaceutical manufacturing. This position will collaborate with the Operations Leadership, Engineering and Plant Maintenance teams to strengthen the maintenance departments and ensure successful execution of all plant Maintenance activities.

Job Description
  • Develop the maintenance department strategic plan to help improve and strengthen overall performance and effectiveness.
  • Analyze machine performance data to optimize maintenance activity effectiveness and maximize equipment uptime.
  • Implement root cause analysis processes of equipment failures to increase equipment reliability and availability.
  • Support engineering changes and equipment installation and coordinate instrumentation calibration.
  • Establish and ensure maintenance KPIs are aligned to the overall corporate maintenance strategy.
  • Develop SOP's, policies and procedures as required in a maintenance environment.
  • Oversee evaluation of root cause of significant equipment breakdowns and develop countermeasures to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Partner with Human Resources to support hiring staff, performance reviews, training and development, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience Requirements
  • At least 10 years progressive experience in industrial maintenance, including experience in high-speed manufacturing facility. Seven (7) years of management required.
  • Experience building and leading teams in a collaborative way to drive business performance.
  • Proven ability to develop, motivate, and empower employees while fostering an environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration. Actively builds teams to collaborate on complicated tasks.
  • Electrical background (PLC, instrumentation, industrial electrical experience) preferred.
  • Brownfield/Greenfield experience desired

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field of study; MBA preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
