Role:

This position will report to the Senior Manager, Financial Reporting & Accounting. We are looking for a Senior Finance and Accounting Associate to be part of the global Finance team. This position is primarily responsible for a number of accounting and external reporting functions. The role is also responsible for certain operational accounting functions. We are looking for a hands-on individual to join the Global Finance team and provide accounting and reporting expertise in an effective and efficient manner and identify ways to continuously improve assigned responsibilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Actively participate in the month-end, quarterly, and annual financial close processes with an emphasis in meeting all deadlines,
  • Assist with the preparation and review of quarterly and annual external filings (Interim and Annual Reports), including consolidated financial statements, footnotes, and management's discussion and analysis.
  • Assist with the preparation and review of monthly/quarterly internal management and Board of Directors reporting
  • Preparation of account reconciliations, journal entries and analytics procedures
  • Coordination with various outside professional services firms to ensure full compliance with financial XBRL reporting requirements. Ensure coordination between outside professional services firms and the Company's independent auditors.
  • Assist with various special projects including finance systems and technologies, specifically with regards to SAP process refinements and other system enhancements
  • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease process times, streamline work processes in all assigned areas
  • Research/interpretation of SEC related external reporting requirements, including assistance in the preparation of respective disclosure checklists
  • Review of existing, and assistance in the implementation of external reporting related internal controls
  • Working collaboratively cross functionally across various business functions across the organization as it relates to the above responsibilities
  • Coordination and communication with external auditors and other outside professionals and consultants related to the above responsibilities

Requirements:
  • B.S. or MS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business (CPA preferred)
  • 2-3 years of finance/accounting experience. Big-4 public accounting and pharmaceutical experience strongly desired
  • Strong accounting and financial controls experience
  • Solid attention to details with capability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated change agility, analytical thinking and ability to develop solutions
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication and partnering skills
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong project management skills; ability to juggle and prioritize multiple work streams
  • Solid Excel and Powerpoint skills
  • High sense of urgency and ability to identify creative solutions to advanced, time sensitive problems by balancing achievement of corporate objectives with practical considerations
  • Commitment to delivering quality results and overcoming obstacles and challenges in an extremely time-sensitive environment

For US based candidates, the proposed salary band for this position is as follows:

$71,250.00---$118,750.00

The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses.
