Pharmaceutical Development Coordinator

Position Summary

Catalent's Greenville, N.C. facility specializes in end-to-end turn-key solutions for oral solid dosage forms, including integrated formulation development, analytical services, commercial manufacturing, and packaging. This state-of-the-art facility has had over $100M of investments in recent years and features fit-for-scale capacity with potent handling capabilities, ideal for orphan or targeted drug development.

The Pharmaceutical Development Coordinator is responsible for supporting the pharmaceutical development department with material needs and continuous improvement opportunities.

The Role
  • Serve as department's expert in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  • Manage clinical and development inventory transactions for department.
  • Prioritize and coordinate material requests, ensuring timely execution through effective communication with internal support teams.
  • Act as the primary interface for clinical and development material requests related to clinical or development manufacturing needs.
  • Efficiently organize tasks to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Support the organization and coordination of the dispensing team to fulfill departmental needs.
  • Collaborate with department personnel on necessary revisions to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Evaluate current practices to identify areas for improvement and develop innovative solutions to streamline processes; implement approved changes while assessing effectiveness.
  • Other duties as assigned.
The Candidate
  • Master's degree in chemistry, engineering, or related science OR Bachelor's degree in chemistry, engineering, or related science with at least 1 year of relevant pharmaceutical industry experience OR Associate degree in science with at least 2 years of relevant pharmaceutical industry experience OR High school diploma or equivalent with at least 5 years of equivalent pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Some exposure to hazardous chemicals and other active chemical ingredients.
  • Position requires the capacity to handle and manipulate objects using hands and arms.
  • Ability to occasionally lift items up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to understand and work within Microsoft applications and system software.
