Position Summary:

The Strategic Initiatives & Operations Intern will support various projects and communication initiatives. This role will provide exposure to different aspects of project management (project planning, tracking progress, communicating with stakeholders) and corporate communications (media relations, social media management, and internal communications).

Performance Objectives:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on communication projects, providing support as needed to ensure successful execution.
  • Conduct research on industry trends, competitor activities, and media coverage to support communication strategy development.
  • Support integration team activities by tracking cross-workstream milestones, deadlines, and action items related.
  • Support internal communication efforts by assisting in drafting employee newsletters, updating intranet content, and assisting with employee engagement initiatives.
  • Provide administrative support to the integration team, including maintaining project documentation, updating tools, and coordinating logistics.
  • Other ad hoc projects as needed.

Education/Certification Requirements:
  • In undergraduate program (e.g. Business, Marketing, Science, Communications, Journalism, etc.) and completed at least sophomore year.
  • Previous office work experience preferable but not required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • The ability to work as part of a team.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, etc.).
  • Prior experience in a corporate business environment is preferred.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $18 - $22 per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
