Position Summary:
The Technician I, Operations - Fill supports the ongoing development, manufacture, and distribution of pharmaceutical products in compliance with local administration. The Technician, Operations - Fill will rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. This is a part-time position and will not exceed 25 hours per week.
Job Responsibilities:
- Clean, set-up, operate and monitor equipment of the production line
- Complete all required documentation and scheduled quality checks
- Ensure adequate supply, function, and output of production equipment
- Adjust filler to include timing & fill volume per QA request
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties
- Collect required samples needed for Quality Assurance testing as required
- Perform line changeovers in a safe and efficient manner
- Complete pre and post cleaning per production run
- Ensure all required information is properly documented in accordance with SOP's
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area
- Follow all required work safe practices
- This would include wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, etc
- This position may be involved with the transportation and handling of hazardous waste; must successfully complete Resource Conservation Recovery Act (RCRA) training within 1 year of hire, and annually thereafter.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills:
- Must have good communication skills
- Must have basic math skills (addition, subtraction, division)
- Must be mechanically inclined and able to lift up to 20 pounds continuously
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to work in confined spaces
- Must have good hygiene
- Ability to wear full cleanroom garb for up to 5 hours at a time
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School diploma / or equivalent required
- Associate degree preferred
