Summary

As part of our Manufacturing Division, Polysaccharide Vaccines Technical Operations at West Point is seeking a highly motivated individual to partner with the Operations, Quality Operations, and Regulatory groups to meet targeted supply and compliance initiatives.- Polysaccharide Vaccines includes fermentation processing, vaccine purification, media preparation, bulk formulation, sterile filtration, and manufacture of conjugate vaccine processes.- Specifically, you will be responsible for providing Deviation Management support, and becoming a technical expert to support the manufacture of these products.-

Key Responsibilities
  • Leads and works as a team member on manufacturing investigations and/or process improvement projects
  • Ability to examine an issue from diverse perspectives (safety, compliance, automation, equipment, process, and people) in order to best understand and resolve the root cause
  • Assures consistent application of standardized work, engineering and process tools
  • Provides technical support to manufacturing shop floor for problems and issues
  • Conducts and designs experimental protocols as needed using the Technical Operations lab facilities and/or production equipment at full scale
  • Authors and updates technical and manufacturing documents necessary for investigations, process design/definition, engineering studies, process demonstrations, change control and validation

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or Biological Science or other appropriate science or engineering field.

Required Experience and Skills -
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong technical problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong collaboration and leadership skills
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in Deviation Management in a GMP manufacturing and/or technical support of GMP manufacturing operations envi
