Reporting to the Development IT Business Technology Partnership COP lead within our Company IT, the Business Technology Partner will be a part of a team responsible for deeply understanding business strategy, creating, and managing the portfolio of activities driving business value.- This individual will collaborate closely with-Business Leaders & Development IT Product Line Leads to define technology solutions for priority business problems, ensuring adoption and achievement of expected outcomes.-- As a key connector in the organization, this role will work closely with the other Business Technology Partners within our Company and Divisional IT.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Align with Business leadership to understand priorities and develop quantifiable indicators of success.
  • Stay current with industry trends to identify emerging areas of focus and opportunities that can benefit from technology enablement.
  • Builds strong cross functional relationships with various business stakeholders and IT teams.
  • Partner with Product Line Leads to translate business strategy and goals into product functionality, ensuring solutions are adopted and deliver the expected business outcomes.
  • Work with the network of Business Technology Partners within our Company IT and other Divisions IT to align on business priorities, identify synergies, and explore cross-divisional solutioning opportunities.
  • Support management of the Value Team portfolio of investments, including the development of business cases.

Education Minimum:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Life Science

Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • Minimum of 7 years prior experience in Enterprise, Business, Information, Systems & Application or Solution Architectures.
  • Strong quantitative skills and the ability to use data and metrics to inform investment decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a pragmatic approach to addressing challenges.
  • Curiosity to analyze and understand the drivers behind trends.
  • Ability to advocate for users by creating solutions which make it easy for our Company's colleagues to accomplish their important work.
  • Strong communicator able to integrate and succinctly summarize and tailor messages to different audiences, including Senior Leaders. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills - listening with empathy, able to effectively communicate complex concepts in simple ways.
  • Broad range of leadership skills including ability to influence without authority.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate in a cross-functional environment to achieve shared goals
  • Drive for results augmented by strong planning and organization skills
  • Hands on experience with portfolio management and/or business performance management, with a proven track record of results
  • Exposure to pharmaceutical product development and commercialization

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
  • Deep understanding of Pharmacovigilance within the clinical development process
  • Experience or training with developing KPIs and OKRs in the product model

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence. -This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, field-based positions; facility-based, manufacturing-based, or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely. Under New York State, Colorado State, Washington State, and California State law, the Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate's relevant skills, experience, and education.

Expected salary range:
$135,500.00 - $213,400.00
