Job Responsibilities
- Develop calibration methods and techniques based on principles of measurement science, technical analysis of measurement problems, and accuracy and precision requirements primarily focused o pharmaceutical operations and support equipment
- Develop, test, and validate, automated and manual calibration procedures
- Design calibration schedules and intervals for site equipment
- Maintain and troubleshoot calibration test systems
- Perform calibrations to transfer traceability from Primary Standards to Laboratory Working Standards
- Support validation and production engineers in development of metrological specifications for new equipment
- Develop control charts and statistical process controls for calibration standards and results
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of ISO 17025 (if applicable) Quality Management System
- Complete documentation and reports of all calibration and maintenance action
Experience Requirements
- 5 years of solid calibration and metrology experience
- Able to establish and maintain metrological traceability for laboratory measurement parameters
- Thorough knowledge and application of measurement uncertainty
- Ability to develop, document, and implement new measurement methods and test systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of programming languages in support of instrument automation
- Great time management skills and both the desire and ability to work in fast paced, growing and dynamic environment
- Ability to lead a team and manage a calibration program across facilities; off shift and weekends required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with a technical or engineering focus and/or equivalent military PMEL / TMDE or related calibration training
