Description
Job Responsibilities
  • Develop calibration methods and techniques based on principles of measurement science, technical analysis of measurement problems, and accuracy and precision requirements primarily focused o pharmaceutical operations and support equipment
  • Develop, test, and validate, automated and manual calibration procedures
  • Design calibration schedules and intervals for site equipment
  • Maintain and troubleshoot calibration test systems
  • Perform calibrations to transfer traceability from Primary Standards to Laboratory Working Standards
  • Support validation and production engineers in development of metrological specifications for new equipment
  • Develop control charts and statistical process controls for calibration standards and results
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of ISO 17025 (if applicable) Quality Management System
  • Complete documentation and reports of all calibration and maintenance action

Experience Requirements
  • 5 years of solid calibration and metrology experience
  • Able to establish and maintain metrological traceability for laboratory measurement parameters
  • Thorough knowledge and application of measurement uncertainty
  • Ability to develop, document, and implement new measurement methods and test systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of programming languages in support of instrument automation
  • Great time management skills and both the desire and ability to work in fast paced, growing and dynamic environment
  • Ability to lead a team and manage a calibration program across facilities; off shift and weekends required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance

Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with a technical or engineering focus and/or equivalent military PMEL / TMDE or related calibration training
