The Executive Director of Global Marketing for HIV - Long-Acting Treatment Programs, will be at the forefront of driving our global commercial success and making a meaningful impact on people living with HIV worldwide. In this critical role, you will lead the strategic commercial initiatives, brand development, and launch strategies for our HIV Long-Acting treatment programs based on a first-in-class weekly oral, and Q3M injectable antiretroviral treatment for HIV. These products, developed as part of a joint venture between Gilead and our company, two leading pharmaceutical companies committed to making a positive impact in the field of HIV treatment, are expected to be a major disruptive innovation with significant benefits for people living with HIV, optimizing adherence, compliance, and reducing the stigma associated with HIV.

You'll have the opportunity to represent our commercial organization in the joint alliance committees and in the HIV long-acting Product Development Team (PDT) and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our HIV Long-Acting Treatment portfolio and enable our company to regain a leadership position in the HIV market.-

This high-visibility leadership role reports to the Global Commercial Lead of the HIV franchise, and you will oversee a talented team of marketing professionals who support strategy and planning, seizing the significant growth opportunities within HIV treatment.

HIV continues to significantly affect more than 38 million individuals worldwide, with over 1.5 million new infections occurring each year. The progress of medical advancements has transformed HIV from a once-deadly sentence to a manageable chronic disease. However, as people with HIV age, the risk of developing comorbidities increases, and they are exposed to antiretroviral treatment for extended periods of time. To address these challenges, innovation is crucial to alleviate the burden of HIV on individuals, communities, and societies.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Lead Global Marketing Strategy for HIV Long-Acting Treatment Programs:
  • Understand, analyze, and respond to the complex, highly competitive HIV treatment landscape with strategies that differentiate our company's HIV Long-Acting Treatment P rograms and gain a competitive advantage.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Teams to shape the commercial HIV product profile, label, core claims document and value.
  • Work with cross-functional colleagues to ensure data generation supports the demonstration of full HIV asset value.
  • Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Scientific Strategy, Market Research, and Global Communications for marketing campaigns based on scientific differentiation.
  • Contribute to the development of our company's HIV long -acting portfolio strategy and go-to-market models.

Support HIV Launch Readiness and Commercialization:
  • Drive the development of launch strategies, commercial plans and engage with agencies for product positioning and differentiation.
  • Ensure timely commercial launch alignment across global cross-functional teams and partner with key markets and regions to inform strategy and positioning for maximum assets potential.
  • Secure the development of a comprehensive market access strategy, including pricing guidance.
  • Represent the commercial team in internal senior leadership forums and joint committee.
  • Contribute to the development of internal and external communications plans.

Empower Franchise Objectives through Leadership Excellence:
  • Drive organizational excitement, confidence, and focus on the HIV portfolio.
  • Manage and develop a team of marketing professionals, coaching and mentoring for optimal growth and effectiveness.
  • Model positive mindset and behavior, championing diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Forge deep relationships across the enterprise, becoming an integral partner in the HIV programs and commercial organization.
  • Ensure product ambition, potential, risks, and opportunities are reflected in Long Range Operating Plans.

Education:

Minimum Requirement:- Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Education:- Advanced Degree (MBA)

Required Experience and Skills:
  • Minimum of 10 years local, regional, and/or global commercial functions including marketing, product management, or market access (or equivalent roles)
  • HIV knowledge and experience is a plus.

Preferred Experience and Skills - --
  • Leadership and Impact:-Proven track record of leading high-performance launches, driving business results and competing in diverse and complex markets.

  • Collaboration & Influence without authority: Strong collaboration skills, both within commercial teams and cross divisional teams including R&D and manufacturing, medical affairs, Outcomes Research and Access
  • Communication: Ability to clearly articulate messages/information across the enterprise and to all levels, including highest levels of senior leadership
  • Understanding of Drug Development Process (Early and Late Stage)
  • Experience in alliance management and working effectively with partners to drive joint initiatives.

Travel: ~20% of time

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Expected salary range:
$243,500.00 - $383,300.00
