Position Title: Senior Manager, Portfolio Management (Generics)
This individual will oversee portfolio management and support the corporate and business development team in identification, evaluation, and execution of new business opportunities, including company acquisitions, product acquisitions, product in-licensing, and co-development opportunities as well as other strategic opportunities in the generics market.
Essential Job Functions:
•Identify and evaluate new business opportunities for senior management, including in/out licensing projects, collaborative R&D agreements, joint ventures and mergers and acquisitions.
•Work closely with the Corporate Business Development team to evaluate opportunities and help make good business decisions.
•Manage the product launch process for all new Sun generics
•Work closely with cross functional departments to collect and review data and monitor market opportunities
•Perform quantitative analyses (including pro-forma financial modeling, valuation, accretion/dilution, IRR/NPV, etc) on new opportunities.
•Manage agreement negotiations, contract development, due diligence and other business/alliance expansion projects.
•Create and lead summary presentations for/to executive management team.
•Monitor competitive developments and establish new sources of competitive intelligence.
•Establish dialogue with investment bankers, attorneys, consultants and other intermediaries to ensure proper deal flow.
•Monitor and enhance business development processes.
•Responsible to lead and coach the department’s employees
•Any other projects assigned within scope of portfolio management.
•Strong analytical skills, combined with an aptitude for evaluating innovative opportunities required. The incumbent should also possess excellent verbal and written skills as well as strong quantitative and financial modeling skills. The ability to interpret and present multivariate analyses to a wide variety of audiences is also an important requirement. Work Experience
•7+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical field performing most or all of the identified Essential Duties. Education
•Requires Bachelors Degree with emphasis on Business Management. Equivalent work experience may be substituted for a completed degree, however, degree pursuit must be in process.
