Description
The Portfolio Manager (Associate Director) is an independent resource (not assigned to a Development Unit) responsible for the interpretation of risk/trend signals (data and operational) identified by the GDO Portfolio Analysts through the utilization of SENSE, and other analytical techniques. The Portfolio Manager will utilize these risk/trend signals to conduct ro-bust independent documented risk assessments in partnership with relevant CTTs and Portfolio Directors, to identify root causes, define solutions for course correction, and propose line function accountabilities for remediation actions.

1. Collaborates with GDO Portfolio Analysts to interpret risk/trend signals (data and operational)

2. Responsible for utilizing risk/trend signals to conduct robust independent deep-dive assessments of SENSE and other core information to interpret and understand risk/trend signals

3. Upon confirmation of risks/trends, initiates discussions with relevant CTTs and GDO DU Portfolio Directors to define and confirm risk and issue status

4. Performs robust independent documented risk assessments in partnership with relevant CTTs and GDO DU Portfolio Directors to identify root causes, and attain an aligned cross functional risk status

5. Develops detailed risk remediation plans which document confirmed root causes, define solutions for course correction, and line function accountabilities for remediation actions, and associated timelines

6. Supports GDO DU Portfolio Directors with the tracking and measurement of risk remediation activities

7. Responsible for proactively identifying study, program and/or process level risks/trends across Development Units

8. Collaborates with line function partners to identify opportunities for SENSE application development/enhancements to enrich the end user experience

9. Empowers Portfolio Management team by ensuring availability of appropriate information in preparation for monthly DU and GDO Portfolio Review meetings

10. Serves as subject matter expert for SENSE, and other Nerve modules, to train individuals and teams on their usage and interpretation of insightsEDUCATION: Bachelor degree in life science and/or bachelor degree in business with 7-10 years drug development or equivalent or, experience working in the pharmaceutical industry.

LANGUAGE: Excellent English skills required (oral & written)

EXPERIENCE:

1. 7+ years industry experience (operational), preferably with proven business analytical skills

2. Demonstrated understanding of the drug development process and programs with experience in clinical development activities

3. Demonstrated success in interpretation, assessment and confirmation of operational portfolio data using advanced predictive analytical outputs

4. Results-driven achiever with exemplary planning and project management skills, along with attention to detail and high level of accuracy

5. Good time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks in high-pressure situations 6. Innovative problem solver with proven ability to analyze, assess and solve complex problems.
