The Regional Account Director is responsible for the implementation of agreed business cases, negotiation, agreement, achievement and delivery of Region/ Unit Strategic Imperatives, which are reliant on Novartis Global Service Centers.

Ensures delivery of the required service quality to Region/ Unit, drives establishment of SLA KPIs along with the Function Heads. Also is a 'Single Point of Contact' and 'PLS Champion' for senior leaders (CPO Heads/BU Heads/MSO Heads) within Region/ Unit and CPOs (wherever applicable).

Supports the BSE Head of the Unit/ Region to negotiate/agree services and solutions on behalf of the team and has a clear understanding of the appropriate mutual level of risk for Region/ Unit and PLS. Responsible for creating a detailed knowledge base of the available PLS services and solutions. Responsible for driving the optimal uptake of the PLS Service Catalogue from internal stakeholders to deliver on quality, time and productivity targets at Region/ Unit level.

Responsible for issue resolution, mediation, ensuring governance between stakeholders and multiple delivery teams within complex matrix environment (Region/Unit/CPO/PLS/external vendors)

Leads/agrees the prioritization (across multiple stakeholders and CPO's) of business deliverables based on business needs and Key Regional Initiatives and aligns with PLS delivery capacity

Works collaboratively with the PLS Function Heads across functional areas - commercial, medical and eventually IT, Finance, and where appropriate other BSC's, to ensure projects are delivered on time.

Ensure effective resource and organizational support for Region/ Unit in accordance to Business case specifications.

Establish SLA (Service Level Agreements) required for effective provision of service to Region/ Unit.

Focus on execution. Develop scorecards and SLAs for service delivery.

Perform regular benchmarking of service provision cost to ensure competitiveness is retained vs. next best alternative.

Manages within a highly complex internal Organization and/or has a high number of diverse stakeholders across varied geographies/markets

Provides thought leadership to shape future decisionsMBA with Graduate in Pharmacy, Science English

Overall 15+ years of experience with 5+ years managing senior leadership stakeholders within mid-large global organizations.

Strong understanding of managing complex matrix based organization. Has had people management experience in their previous roles.

Also possesses strong management and conflict resolution skills. Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to demonstrate strong influencing, negotiation and diplomacy skills

Able to define standards for quality, and evaluates services, products, and processes against those standards

Has a strong knowledge of the service/process and business needs

Able to translate customer demand/requirements into resource requirements

Ability to analyze financial and operational data and generate accurate forecasts

Coaches and motivates team members to optimize team effectiveness

Efficiently delegates issues to the Operational Specialists

High degree of customer orientation

Ability to work independently and under pressure

Attention to detail and quality focused
