The PSS Analytics, Data, and Effectiveness franchise will lead and set the strategic direction for an insights-driven analytics and research team that proactively helps drive performance and shape the future of Novartis Franchise and our Patient and Specialty Services organization.

In partnership with Franchise Heads, Patient Access Team and PSS Leadership, and working directly for the executive Director for PSS Analytics, Data, and Effectiveness, this individual will take a leading role in shaping strategy and operational management of data management (internal and external) and analytics to support effective data review and end-to-end patient journey tracking and visualization across the Novartis Franchise Pharma portfolio. Through this strategic understanding and thought leadership, this individual will define the key business questions and challenges facing our business that are critical to achieving business objectives. Translation of these questions/challenges into actionable insights and analytics initiatives is essential enable the development of recommendations and solutions so that franchise business and brand strategies can be developed to meet performance expectations. Coordinates process improvement initiatives within and across franchise PSS, establishing and tracking end-to-end patient journey performance metrics for all supported franchise programs.

This individual will be an Analytics/Data/Effectiveness expert for PSS, providing problem solving leadership to enable analytic-based solutions to business questions and challenges. This individual is recognized as an expert within the organization analytics/tracking/effectiveness of many of the US Pharma HUB Operations and tracking, Data Management Strategy, Dashboards (Brand/Franchise/Field), Program/Performance tracking/effectiveness and reporting across all programs (co-pay, adherence, hub operations, scenario planning etc..) She/he is able to provide problem solving leadership to enable analytic-based solutions to business questions and challenges in situations requiring new/innovative approaches. This person will guide a team of Analytics associates who work with US franchise brand teams/other analysts to address business questions to help shape channel/customer contracts, design and refine patient service programs, shape our interactions with specialty pharmacies, build strategies, and maximize patient impact and financial return for our program spend. The team will be generating, analyzing and synthesizing data & insights for our brands and customers/channels is critical to the development of brand and customer strategies and to driving business performance. Single Point of Contact across PSS Analytics to all stakeholders ensuring release of high quality data • Understands business priorities/challenges and translates into data performance metrics and advanced predictive analytics for franchise product support • Ensure high quality, full visibility and insights into end-to-end patient journey for supported Novartis Franchise Pharma brands • Manage communications to key stakeholders inside the organization as it relates to Franchise PSS data • Regularly interacts with external and internal vendors to ensure high standard of PSS data and performance tracking - timely, accurate & complete • Defines key brand, hub, and SP metrics and utilizes reports and dashboards to monitor quality and enforce SLAs and agreements. Manage vendors and off-shore team to ensure execution of all analyses and reports. Drive reporting and performance of patient service field roles (where applicable) & collaborate with peer PSS Analytics staff to ensure consistent understanding and communication of common source issues (SP, HUB, 3rd Party Data)Bachelor's Degree in relevant area, MBA Preferred EN (oral and written)
3-5 years Specialty pharmaceutical industry or related field
Strong understanding of data warehouse and master data architecture and processes
Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical information into business relevant information
Strong business knowledge and mindset to provide guidance on how data can be applied to answer business questions
Understanding of how data is used for analytics & reporting
Vendor management skills to enforce SLAs based on data quality performance
Strong problem solving & project management skills

PREFERRED Skills
Deep understanding of specialty brand data (i. e. data from HUB services, Specialty Pharmacies, Syndicated vendors, internal data etc.)
Prior experience in Business roles, both Sales & Marketing highly desirable
Ability to interface with and influence senior business leaders
