Builds and executes account plans to maximize current and future sales opportunities within major teaching hospitals and academic centers, educates key physicians/residents/students on NVS Alcon pharmaceutical products.

Maximize current and future sales opportunities within major teaching hospitals and academic centers. Strategically educate key faculty/fellows/residents/students concerning NVS Alcon pharmaceutical products.
Maximize Pharmaceutical products sales by identifying key decision makers and developing Alcon Pharma advocates by educating thought leaders, physician staff, residents, fellows and students at major teaching hospitals and academic institutions on our product portfolio.
Products include but are not limited to: all NVS Alcon Pharma products including glaucoma, allergy and anti-inflammatory products.
Territory management and live sales calls to drive appropriate patient use of our products and educate major institutional accounts. Scope of customer responsibilities include major teaching hospitals, academic centers, Ophthalmology/Optometry department heads, faculty, residents, fellows, students and hospital-based pharmacies. Travel required for live customer interactions.
Interact and conduct business reviews with Deans, Presidents, Clinic Directors, Faculty and staff to grow Alcon Pharma's business in the academic channel.
Coordination of Speaker Alliance activities with Alcon Pharma marketing and field sales.
Coordination of fellow/resident/student handoffs with field sales.
Work collaboratively with cross-franchise counterparts in KAM, field sales and Marketing.
Maintain a culture of compliance, continuous development, empowerment, teamwork and high performance results.

Achievement of Management by Objectives (MBO's)
Sales development
Adherence to compliance guidelines of NPCBachelor's degree, preferable in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business, or related discipline.

Minimum five years of successful Novartis/Alcon pharmaceutical, surgical, or vision care sales experience, or at least six years of external sales experience, including hospital sales/institutional experience in Pharmaceuticals.

Demonstrated superior business acumen and business planning skills
Proven ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally with internal and external partners
Possess high achievement drive, self-motivation, integrity and willingness to mentor others
Effective problem solving and decision making skills
Demonstrated superior interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate across diverse audiences
Exceptional ability to develop and sustain customer relationships
Buy and Bill (B&B) experience preferred
Retina experience a plus
