Description
Provide strategic leadership to the Medical Information and Communication team for selected products within the Gen Meds portfolio. Responsible to drive innovation and lead the planning, development, implementation and maintenance of "Best -in-class" capabilities to ensure launch excellence and rapid access to product related medical information throughout the product lifecycle. Responsible to provide strategic Medical guidance and input into Medical Product Plans (MPPs) and responsible for overseeing the MIC promotional review process to ensure quality Medical reviews.

• Drive/lead specific Medical Information Services across assigned products.
• Assure competency and consistency across products and therapeutic areas with particular consideration of public and professional relations and legal and regulatory requirements.
• Engage in career development plans of associates by coaching, mentoring and supporting opportunities that are aligned with professional growth and development
• Participate in special projects/work streams that support MIC value and capabilities in order to continually drive the high performing team culture in US Medical
• Drive updating of current standard response documents for all marketed and pre-launch brands
• Proactively establish and maintain constant interactions with Marketing/Sales functions, in order to ensure alignment of MIC strategy with business needs, in line with the Medical Strategies
• Responsible to provide strategic Medical guidance to associates in the promotional review process ensuring high quality input representing US Medical as the medical reviewer within the MAP teams
• Provide strategic direction and set expectations for associates regarding input into the medical product plans (MPPs) ensuring that MIC associates contribute to all Medical Product teams as full members
• Responsible for leadership of launch readiness planning and integration and team functions as key contributors to lead planning for all MIC documents/deliverables and FAQs for internal and external customers
• Provide product support activities as needed
• Support Medical Units ensuring MIC alignment with global and local strategies
• Establish metrics for MIC activities; monitor and report progress against planned timelines
• Ensure high quality and customer service metrics for responses to all HCP CIC escalated inquiries
• Develop strategy for driving innovation for all customer interface areas of MIC
• Develop and utilize and leverage innovative technologies and customer channel approaches to communication with US Medical customers
• Partner with MIC Head to update/create MIC business policies in line with legal and OIC/CIA guidance
• Oversee/share current MIC "Best practices" within MIC globally• PharmD, MD or healthcare-related PhD (Bachelor degree in pharmacy with significant industry based medical information experience also acceptable)
• Business/Management degree (e.g. MBA) or specific English
• 4-7 years experience in pharmaceutical industry
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to lead cross-functional team
• Business knowledge and commercial marketing understanding
• Cross-cultural perspective
• Experience in Medical Information setting
• Proven management skills
• CPO Medical Department experience
