Description
The Value Evidence Dissemination (VED) Operations Manager is responsible for managing the strategic planning, project initiation and execution, finance, contracting and finalization processes for the VED team. Through this role, s/he works closely with the Director, Value Evidence Tool Development and Lead of the Clinical and Value Evidence liaison team to support the overall objectives of the team. In addition, the VED Operations Manager will work closely with related functions including the HEOR, finance and medical affairs team.
Oversee and prepare VED team budgets including contracting process, collaborating with Finance, Sourcing, Oncology Scientific Writing (OSW) Group, Novartis Business Services (NBS), operations and other cross-functional departments; • Manage and disseminate key information, including Key Insight Reports, across the VED and HEOR teams; • Working with the Director, Value Evidence Tool Development, lead VED content through the non-promotional review and approval process; • Appropriately and timely escalation of past due reviewer disposition; • Communicate, document and archive project team activities and decisions; • Act as a primary contact for project team related information; • Facilitate project team meetings, cross-functional communication and decision-making, ensuring alignment with internal and external stakeholders; • Identify, recommend and implement opportunities for streamlining team and business processes; • Manage VED team contracting, budget planning, finance reporting and invoice tracking/reconciliation activities; • Establish and maintain functionally integrated project schedules to enable accurate project, financial and portfolio analyses and ensure accurate inputs are provided into business planning processes; • Ensure alignment with project sub-teams and functional partners; • Develop and maintain VED tool repository and ensure appropriate approval is documented; • Support change management of customer relation manager tool as needed, collaborating with IT and PLS Field Force Operations; • Access relevant Fair Market Value (FMV) databases to develop FMV memos, FMV template and provide guidance on developing FMV memo; • Store and organize documents in VED SharePoint; • Assist VED Head in developing and/or refining systems and processes to increase efficiencies within the department as well as archive/maintain relevant Working Practices (WPs) and Standard Operations Procedures (SOPs); • Update the VED Handbook as requested by VED Head; • Manage information and provide summary team metrics; • Assist in organizing VED workshops and team training events.Minimum of BA or BS degree with at least 3 years' experience in operations, project management and financial tracking. English • Proven record of accomplishments that demonstrate strong strategic project management, analytical and multitasking skills. • Demonstrated understanding of VED objectives, projects and processes. • Strong proficiency with project management practices, tools and methodology. • Financial acumen with capability to plan and oversee project budgets and product valuations. • Understanding of portfolio management concepts. • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop important relationships with customers and key stakeholders. • Good conflict management skills. • Excellent analytical skills. • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex information effectively. • Strong influencing and negotiation skills. • Proven track-record of good decision making and exercising sound judgment. • Self-motivated and results and detail-oriented. • Demonstrated ability to communicate and coordinate activities in face to face meetings, teleconferences
