Description
PURPOSE:
The Director, Hemophilia Account Execution is responsible for supporting the execution of hemophilia brand portfolio strategies and cross-functional commercial efforts from an account management perspective. The position will be responsible for the execution against these strategies and plans within a matrixed team. Identifies and supports opportunities to increase regional sales through applying a field lens to business trends and sales metrics. Provides generalist support to enable the VP, BioPharm Commercial Lead and effectively partners with the Hemophilia BioPharm Regional Directors (HBRDs) to maximize business opportunities with target accounts across HBRDs' respective Regions. Indirectly leads, supports, influences and effectively navigates a cross-functional team who focuses on the overall region and therapeutic field efficiency and provides oversight over the execution of regional business plans.

Serves as a navigator with respective home office functions, including Commercial Effectiveness, Marketing, Market Access account teams, and institutional hemophilia sales team in employing local market strategies within each region.

RELATIONSHIPS:
The position reports to the VP, BioPharm Commercial Lead. Serves as a critical partner to the VP in reviewing the account opportunities within each region. Partners with Marketing on execution of strategies, Commercial Effectiveness on the monitoring of regional progress towards goals, and the Market Access account teams, Institutional Sales teams, and Field Medical team to navigate and pull through specific account-based tactics. Participates on, and leads cross-collaboration governance teams as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Field Execution: Responsible for awareness and understanding of what resources (included resources, processes, tools or technology) are available for the sales force and account teams and assists in the execution thereof. Analyzes market trends and competitive environment and engages in internal stakeholder conversations to determine the appropriate direction in deploying field resources against key regional accounts. Ensures each region is effectively executing the strategic and tactical elements of the national BioPharm Hemophilia business plans. Provides oversight and ensures accountability of execution against company and region priorities. Responsible for ensuring national communications are understood and executed.

Field Intelligence: Ensures the VP, BioPharm Commercial Lead is up-to-date on business performance and identifies issues with sales forecasts and makes recommendations.
Filters field requests and champions initiatives to Marketing for requests aligned to national strategies in support of local markets delivery of insights to marketing and input into marketing strategies and tactics for the brands and Centers Of Excellence.
Collaborates with Marketing & Commercial Effectiveness at the regional level to provide field input into execution of the strategy. Applies a field lens to navigate, filter, and deliver information to home office functions including Marketing, marketing strategies and tactics for the brands and Centers Of Excellence.

Local Market Execution: Identifies and supports opportunities to drive business within key regional accounts. Identifies obstacles and challenges and works to implement solutions for current and future initiatives. Builds content to present to account customer base. Responsible for awareness and understanding of what resources are available to access for each account sales team and assists in the execution thereof. Indirectly leads a team and implements account based strategies aligned with the market trends in a competitive environment and engage in internal stakeholder conversations to determine the appropriate direction in deploying field resources in a compliant manner. Uncovers local account opportunities, and partners with marketing and internal stakeholders to coordinate and ensure appropriate execution. Will engage with C-suite customers

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
50-75% overnight travel required

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in business or a related field; MBA degree is preferred
  • A minimum of twelve (12 ) years of sales, sales management or sales/marketing support experience in pharmaceuticals and/or related healthcare is required
  • Must understand the hemophilia therapeutic area
  • Must have the ability to navigate, influence, and colloborate in a matrixed environment
  • Must have a high level of analytics and insight generation
  • A strong understanding of pharma and market dynamics required
  • Must have prior experience operationalizing a strategy
  • Must have prior experience with account based selling approaches
  • Must have knowledge of pharmaceutical sales data sources
  • Must have the ability to operationalize marketing tools and resources to drive business results
