The Associate Director, Integrated Communications, Planning (Product & Pipeline) - Global Communications (based in either Kenilworth, NJ or Upper Gwynedd PA) drives the execution of key business priorities and initiatives. Enable and ensure all deliverables are met and aligned with quality standards. Drive the execution of key business priorities and initiatives. Ensures an integrated approach is taken for communications planning. This role partners closely with the Agency and Resource management team to ensure effective resource allocation in the operations of the communications function. Helps to set strategic business objectives and defines the overarching strategy for a particular business event / milestone. Establishes a working team and tracks deliverables on an ongoing basis to ensure flawless execution.
•Ensure consistency across areas within integrated communications, leverages and communicates best practices
•Writes the integrated communication brief to ensure alignment on audiences, tactics, measurement framework, messaging and timing
•Partner closely across GC and the business to determine priority areas and projects (i.e., Major medical meetings, Sales & Earnings, Davos, JP Morgan, etc.)
•Assemble a "task force" of SMEs (content, channel, analytics, etc.) to execute on initiatives
•Establish and enforce timeline
•Partner with resource management to ensure appropriate resourcing of projects and deliverables
•Facilitate the review of materials (creative, content) through PRT and other internal approvals in collaboration with SME / content owner
•Ensure creative and comms consistency across materials; align and provide feedback as appropriate
•Provide input on retrospectives in collaboration with Analytics team to drive process improvement and shares key learnings across the business
•Bachelor's degree required, MBA strongly preferred
•5+ years of experience in public relations/communications/marketing
•Candidates should have significant experience leading integrated communications plans including media, social media and global communications programs on behalf of large, global corporations or institutions.
•Ability to confidently lead and provide expert counsel to support the goals of the business
•Ability to work successfully across teams and reporting structures in a matrix environment
•Ability to articulate and lead a long term strategic communications platform that builds and supports the business
•Ability to handle crisis communications and short-term communications objectives
•Excellent organizational, written and oral communication skills
•Exceptional budget management skills
•Ability to manage pressure, meet deadlines and monitor and evaluate results is essential
•Communications strategy - well versed in the creation of integrated, 360 degree communications/marketing campaigns
•Interpersonal influence - effectively builds relationships within the organization to help achieve business outcomes. Leads business partners and staff and achieves consensus and results even without positional authority.
•Project Management - Develops schedules and budgets and effectively tasks people. Can handle complexities in queue among multiple channels, content creators, and/or agencies.
•Audience Understanding - Collects, analyzes, and interprets qualitative and quantitative data and information to develop thorough understanding of stakeholder motivations and preferences and opinions.
•Strategic Agility - Demonstrates resilience, flexibility, and a willingness to explore different paths to achieve an outcome and adjusts quickly and efficiently to new circumstances.
•Communications Measurement - Sets up qualitative and quantitative metrics at an onset of an initiative. Continuously improves efforts by monitoring behaviors and outcomes that matter to the business.
