Technical Duties and Responsibilities

•Troubleshoot, repair and upgrade refrigeration systems.
•Maintain existing refrigeration systems such as walk-in and standalone refrigerators, freezers, Incubators, Stability chambers, and Ovens.
•Receive and respond to service calls, take immediate action to resolve emergency situations or system breakdowns.
•Availability to be on call nights and/or weekends as required.

Technician Skills

•Understanding of industrial refrigeration systems.
•Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
•Ability to work independently or with others, and an ability to manage contractors.
•Ability to diagnose and repair refrigeration equipment and experience in fundamental refrigeration techniques (brazing, recovery, charging, pressure testing, etc.).
•Understanding in the operation and programming of programmable logic controllers; Watlow, CCS-300, etc.
•Experience with PID loop controls.
•Ability to read and understand OEM manuals, guidance documents, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), electrical schematics, general arrangement drawings and Piping and Instrumentation drawings (P&ID) (these will be in English and/or Engineering format).
•Ability to obtain information from and enter information into SAP maintenance management system.
•Ability to operated equipment, trend data and initiate reports on local and distributed control systems.
•Experience working with Compressed air and HVAC systems.
•Fundamental electrical knowledge and troubleshooting experience in repair, replace, or calibrate controls, thermostats, switches, fuses, and electrical wiring.
•Knowledge of EPA and OSHA safety regulations.

Additional Responsibilities:

•Ability to work in a regulated (GMP) environment.
•Must be able to work in a clean room environment.
•Maintain records on refrigerant use and recovery per DEP rules and regulations.
•Math, communication and basic computer skills.
•Universal Certification as required by 40 CFR part 82 for refrigerant transition and recovery.
•Ability to heft and carry equipment as well is stand, stoop or kneel for long periods.
•Good documentation skills.
•Must have a minimum (10) years of field experience on industrial refrigeration systems for walk-in cold rooms/freezers.

Education/Experience:

•MD Masters or Journeyman license preferred. 
•Must have a minimum (10) years of field experience on industrial refrigeration systems for walk-in cold rooms/freezers.
•Shift Work- M-F-8 hours days, call in potential on weekends.
•Stationary engineer license preferred
