This role will be responsible for administrative & tactical activities associated with contract development and filing.


• Contract filing - Ensures inspection readiness by centralizing compliance requests, cleaning data from finalized contracts, develop a common nomenclature for files, and file quickly, appropriately, consistently in SAP and TMF.
• Vendor management - checking vendor data in SAP and submitting requests for additions or changes if needed.
• Contract management development -track and monitor contracts critical terms and date extentions. Draft initial contract versions based on established templates and language if needed. If needed, negotiate and file confidentiality agreements and update CDA tracker for sharing with stakeholder team.
• Continuous Improvement - Grasps procurement general knowledge and business practices, procedures, and business issues in order to facilitate effective and practical solutions for project implementation. For example, help develop processes and tools to manage the GDPR initiative (EU Data Privacy and other updates to regulations requiring updates to supplier contracts

Education Minimum Requirement:


• BS/Associate Degree in Business, Finance, or related field. CPM or related course work highly desirable if no degree or equivalent procurement experience, with demonstrated contract management skills.

Required Experience and Skills:


• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in commercial, business, operations function required or contract management
•1 or more years of pharma experience
• Experience with SAP and Merck Procurement, especially with contracts management eSourcing system within SAP.
• Familiarity with supplier service agreements and confidentiality agreements.
• Proficient in the use of personal computers and business software.
• Knowledge of Procurement related business processes desirable.
• Excellent oral/written communications.
• Understanding regarding the filing system for vendor data management
