Description

This position determines the overall configuration approach for the corporate Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), Sterility Systems or any other laboratory software (hereafter Systems) to meet end-user needs at MTF. Processes Systems change control to include validation paperwork (i.e. configuration specifications, test plans, test scripts), supports project based activities related to either system.

  1. Maintains the validated state of the Systems
    1. Review Corporate and Business Unit changes to assess impact upon Systems and work with Business Unit to address any gaps
    2. Create change control documentation including any required validation paperwork
    3. Coordinate with other IT and Business Unit team members to implement updates or changes in an efficient manner.
    4. Participates in project teams related to enhancements to the Systems
      1. Updates any existing validation paperwork related to project
      2. Develop training plan including but not limited to identify and contact external vendors; identify and schedule SME’s; ensure that servers, equipment and training space is adequate and available for training
  2. Performs system administrator functions within Systems
    1. Develop and maintain Systems workflows
    2. Maintain configuration of systems
    3. Add, modify and remove users from the Systems
    4. Maintain system security through roles and/or rights administration
  3. Develops and maintains reports/queries in Systems
    1. Develops and maintains reports in Systems using reporting tools both internal and external to the systems
    2. Supports tracking and trending requirements as defined by the business units
  4. Trains subject matter experts, trainers and end users on the Systems and changes to Systems as required
  5. Provides end-user support including troubleshooting problems at the application server level
  6. Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:  Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in scientific and/or information technology field. Experience: Basic laboratory experience 5 years of database or business analyst experience Specialized Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities*: Programming in SQL, NET, ORACLE and relational database concepts. Configuring systems within validated environments such as 21CFR Part 11, ISO, Gxp, etc. Ability to write complex SQL queries Ability to write database driven reports Work Environment: Office environment
