In a world that continues to accelerate the pace of change, Global Business Services (GBS) aims to provide internal services to the business to simplify automate and offer cost efficiencies whilst not compromising on service delivery.  Building on strong foundations, you will be part of  supporting the business as it to moves into a phase of rapid growth.

GBS aims to improve the sharing of information and best practices, enhance service quality, make best use of economies of scale and achieve significant cost savings.   GBS has a plan for success. One that includes:

•A unified view of the future
•An understanding of how we will anticipate and respond to that future and our customer needs
•A shared set of behaviours to support a team ethos which will enable us to achieve this

What does the programme involve?

Starting in January 2019 , the programme will last two years and your placement  will be in  the following areas:


• Global Payment Transparency is fully dedicated to AstraZeneca and its affiliates' global HCP/HCI payment transparency program.  As payment transparency continues to expand at an accelerated rate, the Global Payment Transparency team leverages its extensive expertise, robust systems and business acumen in partnership with country representatives to successfully comply with disclosure obligations
• Customer Enablement program is a global initiative that will transform AstraZeneca's operations for engaging external stakeholders such as HCPs (for services) and Organisations that request funding for events such as medical education programs.  The goal: Develop global-level, end-to-end platforms that increase visibility, create greater efficiencies and optimise the customer experience.

Our programme will provide an exciting opportunity to be involved with launching two important strategic projects.  These projects relate to the deployment and establishing a team to manage the contract and payment processing for engagements with healthcare professionals and healthcare organizations.  You will experience the full life cycle of a project from planning through execution, together with:

•Being an active member of a global cross functional project team
•Providing support to Business Owners and lead assigned work streams, devising the data analytics and insights strategy, supporting with the internal and external website
•Develop and deploy assigned communications and training materials through various internal media channels
•Support customer feedback strategy and provide recommendations to project team on opportunities for improvement

The programme will provide you with an invaluable blend of on-the-job experience and coaching. There will be a huge support network behind you, including a highly credible and experienced mentor and programme manager. We'll encourage you to develop your own network of contacts and there will also be regular progress reviews to keep your career on track.

Essential requirements

•         Graduates who have completed their first Bachelor's degree in 2017/2018 in medical/science, data analytics, statistician or any other relevant field of study

•         Passion to work in pharmaceuticals and healthcare, real desire to make a difference to patients and our business

•         Ability to quickly understand our environment, with curiosity and flexibility and the ability to manage multiple priorities, adjusting workload as the business needs require

•         Project management skills

•         Strong computer skills (e.g., Excel, SharePoint, etc.)

•         Strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

•         Capable of working independently.

•         Strong written and verbal communications skills, including fluency in English

•         High ethical standards, trustworthy, operating with absolute discretion
