Legend Biotech is seeking an HR Operations Lead as part of the HR team based in Somerset, NJ.

Role Overview

The HR Operations Lead is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing and optimizing the day-to-day operations of the HR Department. This position will be instrumental in maintaining accurate HR records, documentation, owning employee onboarding and offboarding, and assisting in compliance and reporting efforts. The HR Operations Lead will play a critical role in enhancing the overall employee experience and contributing to the organization's success by assisting with implementing efficient HR processes and providing exceptional service to employees and HR partners. This position requires a detail-oriented and process-driven individual with a strong understanding of HR Operations and a commitment to upholding HR best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate existing HR processes, identifying recurring tasks and critical procedures that warrant Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documentation; engage with relevant stakeholders to gather insights into the existing processes, ensuring comprehensive documentation and alignment with organizational objectives
  • Create a positive onboarding experience by leading new hire orientation sessions and ensuring a seamless employee onboarding journey; assess the onboarding process and suggest enhancements for optimization
  • Assist with developing scalable methodologies and tools aimed at enhancing HR Operations efficiency, including streamlining key processes such as onboarding, terminations, and other aspects essential to the employment life cycle
  • Analyze HR data and metrics to provide insights and support decision making; prepare reports that seek to provide information needed by all departments
  • Assist in HR projects and initiatives, contributing expertise and support to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
  • Partner closely with the HR Business Partners and other HR functions to identify areas for process improvements and implement strategic initiatives
  • In collaboration with the Senior HR Operations Manager, develop new strategic activities, team building events and other initiatives as needed
  • Manage emails pertaining to HR procedures, policies, and programs for employees.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • A minimum of 4 years of related HR Operations experience.
  • Proficiency in HR systems and databases, as well as the ability to learn new systems quickly; Workday experience preferred.
  • Expert knowledge in HR service delivery, HR policies, and effective processes.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality related to sensitive company and employee information.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication and presentation skills; ability to effectively communicate with employees and management on all levels.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, collaborative with a strong focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Excellent coordination and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Excel.
